How it all started
The Journey of Oxted Netwalking
The story began in 2016, when inspirational Events Manager Lee Pegrum envisioned a new way to connect: walking and talking meetings. By handpicking a core group of networking partners, Lee built Oxted Netwalking into a thriving local community.
While the group held regular meetings for years, the COVID-19 pandemic brought a change of pace. As Lee stepped into a vital full-time role with the NHS during the crisis, the group was temporarily paused - ironically as the world took to walking.
In 2023, a new chapter began when Tansy Jane took the lead. She brought a unique depth to the experience, integrating her expertise in mindfulness, coaching, and forest bathing into our walks.
Today, thanks to Lee’s enduring connections within the East Surrey community, we are excited to start our next chapter in partnership with YMCA East Surrey.
